hi all

I replaced the rocker cover gaskets on my P38 4.0 THOR last week. Took off all of the manifold etc and replaced all plugs and leads whilst I was in there - now its all gone back together on start up I have a low, lumpy idle. Smooths out once warm but if the engine is cold, it quickly stalls unless you apply throttle.

I have a very cheap reader which tells me the following codes:
P0130 - bank 1 sensor
P1514 - airflow to tp sensor
P1551 - throttle valve rest position OR camshaft position acutator bank 1
P0150 - 02 sensor circuit

Anyone got any ideas of what I may have done wrong - could I have blown a relay putting it all back together? loose connections? damaged sensors due to age?

Any thoughts welcome!

Are you dragging air in due to a badly fitted vally gasket ? Get it on an exhaust gas analyser and see if your HC's are sky high

You could always try spraying brake/ contact cleaner around the intake side and see if the rev's pick up, sure sign of leaking inlet gasket.

Dug around the back of the engine and found the idler control valve sensor which I had neglected to re-connect

Thanks for your help

Josh
