Bit wary of posting here for fear of Wammers saying that he's answered the question 300 times before.

Is there a foolproof (seriously foolish person) way of locating these without lifting the carpet?

U haven't asked a question have you how can wammers say it's been answered 300 times

Should be four securing points one at each corner of boot space. If not fitted should be four blanked off positions to receive bolts to secure them. They are actually points to hook the cargo net into. If the carpet and rubber boot liner are not cut away for them it will have to be done on fitting. Answered once. Don't ask again. See accessory fitting instructions for STC8530 in RAVE. :p:D

Thanks. I don't think that Rimmers are getting the business this time. I only really need one to secure the dog. There's a bit about it on the competition site.

You will have to lift the carpet to see the four marked mounting points in the insulation. You just cut it out remove the plugs and fit the bosses. Then replace carpet find bosses and do a cross hatch in carpet to take bolts. Fit anchor point onto swivel base and secure with bolts at four positions.

Like the Defender loops, although they seem to have been "upgraded" to EOZ500040MVM. £10 each seems a tad steep.

This will do you fine in London

Transit folding tie down loops would do the job, they are bugger, stronger & cheaper.:)
I did not know about the tie down positions, always thought the lack of any securing points was a serious omission on a 4 x 4. another job on my to do list.
