So, i had a quick search and couldn't really find anything that points to a firm favourite as regards engine oil For the L322.
Petrol or Diesel, what's your poision?
I'm shooting for 5w40 fully synthetic for my Td6 but there's so much choice so have at it!
 
I use 5W40 in my M51 engine and change at 6K miles. Brand is not important, I use Total or Shell Helix whichever is on promo at the time.

I like shell rotella t oil, 300k on one engine and 200k on another changed every 6k miles. Nithing done to either motor (timing belts never) the 300k just plugs every 75k. and air filter once a year(dusty conditions) check coolant freeze temp yearly.

It tells you clearly in your handbook which oils are recomended for summer/winter temperature ranges. Personally I would not use 5W30 in the UK in summer.

I get mine from Smith & Allen - Unelite 10/40 Semi Synth. £56.10 for 20ltrs delivered. Having it in bulk means i have no excuse for not changing every 6k (which for me is about every 4 months :eek:
