Hi,

There is no working DIFFLOCK indicator in my 2.5 N/A 90 (military ver), after inspection of the gearbox seems there is no switch for REVERSE LIGHTS or DIFFLOCK INDICATOR. Could anyone please let me know the exact positions of these switches. I guess there are blank plugs fitted but cant seem to find them.

Originally there was no white light for reverse at the back. I fitted it thereafter and is operated via a switch(manually pressed on the dashboard:D).

Thanks!:)

Reverse is on the back of the transfer box just take the centre seat/cover plate out and you'll be able to see it next to a large fill plug with a sq drive hole in it. Difflock is further down but there's so much ****e on mine I can't see the exact location. Just a couple of wires disappearing into the cack.

the switch (if fitted to your Mil Spec) can be found if you lift the middle cover on the seat box (under where the middle seat would be). I say "if it's fitted' because I heard the Mil Specs came with no reverse (except for the Dutch Army vehicles)

If it's there - it'll be level with the forward edge of the open hole in the top of the seat box - about 8" down from the lip. it looks a bit like a spark plug - all metal, threaded on the outside - with two wires attached.

If you do have one - don't tighten it hard (don't ask my why)

cheers - D

Will i be able to retrofit new switches for both? Seems there was no reverse light originally.
:eek:They are the very bugger to even see let alone work on .....a very slim triple jointed wrist on an extended arm [fitted with lighting] is a great advantage....I hope this advice has been useful?:D.....
