and this is RUC105200 (which is '94 onwards)....

I'd say I had the correct one on.

ok, thanks so much for your help. Tomorrow I will remove the CV joint and take a look at what that is (if indeed I can tell) and check it's the right type.

either AEU2522 or RTC6862, but how I'm going to tell which one I have and which one I SHOULD have, i'm still not sure.

Hopefully I'll find something is amiss as that 6mm spacer is something I can't find anywhere online.

Just did my 1986 110 front hubs. Defo has a spacer and shims and the thicker drive flange (I know because i tried to put the wrong one on)

this is driving me nuts. It isn't shown on the old 110 workshop manual. It's only refered to as SHIMS. and they are tiny.

I've ordered some washers of the right size from an engineering supplier. Hopefuly that will solve the spacer issue.

Back to the whinning noise. I haven't been able to drive the car of course so still haven't tested the noise with the rear prop off, but I thought I could take a look at the TBox anyway to see if the INT shaft was loose. Drained the oil and hardley any game out. The plug looked ok, i.e. nothing bad on the magnet, so hopefully no damage, but would that make the noise?

No idea about the leak, everything looked ok, I will drain gear box and check that one too.

running without oil would create a whine before it destroyed itself, you may be lucky

Fingers crossed. There's no play and everything looks ok. Hopefully thats all it was. I'll do the gear box as well, double check that.

Thanks for your help, as always your input is invaluable.
