Hi,

I did convert a Range Rover Classic LSE back to air suspension.

I'd like to recalibrate the height sensors.

Who knows how to do it ? I have a Testbook with Classic lead and even a computer cable to use with EAS Suite Software.

Do i need special calibration blocks like on a P38?

Thanks

Florent

Few use calibration blocks on the P38, too much hassle. I just use EAS software and the measurements from wheel centre to wheel arch, can't see why the same would not work for the Classic, you just need to find the correct measurements:)

Have a look on the www.rswsolutions.com site and you may find the info.

I don't know why you say it's too much hassle with LR calibration blocks.

I regularly recalibrate P38 suspensions in few minutes.

I did recalibration once with EAS Suite on my lifted EAS and it was a nightmare. Took hours to sort it out.

So you are a professional and you have the blocks, the rest of us either have to buy or make the blocks then grovel on the floor to place them. Having dropped the car onto a set of blocks, it then has to be raised to remove them and lowered again for the next set. Much easier to measure, may take a little longer than the blocks, though not sure about that, took me about half an hour to do mine last time I replaced a sensor.
Why ask the question if you don't want to hear the answers? Make yourself a set of blocks or go buy some.

:drum:take it easy mate! I ask some precise questions and would like to receive precise answers:cool:. P38 is a thing, LSE is another:rolleyes:. If you don't know anything about LSE, fair don't reply:boink:

I'm a professional and have calibration blocks (i cutted them in a OD30 ptfu bar) for the P38 as i said but i don't know if LSE recalibration method works with P38 blocks or some others.

FYI, Testbook drops and raises the car it self but and you can with practice insert them without grovel on the floor.

Florent, its easy to calibrate a Classic RR with Testbook. Its done with a tape measure looking at wheel arch heights and entering them on Testbook at two different heights.Testbook will then calculate the correct settings. From memory you can use either inches or mm.You can also raise or lower the overall height settings by adding or subtracting from the true values.
Easier than the two block heights on LP RR's !

But that is almost identical to what Datatek said...!!

Almost...almost. Datatek advised me at the end to cut some LSE calibration blocks that never existed...

I rather prefer the answer of someone who has real experience and knowledge with Testbook on a LSE.

If i need to do tape measure, then i can finish the job!!

He didn't say make some blocks - he said to measure the distance from Wheel Arch rim to centre of wheel and input that measurement into the software - all you needed to find out was what the wheel arch rim to wheel centre measurement was so you can compare your heights to what they should be, then input the corect height figures into the computer - he never said make blocks....

Of course he advised me some tape measure solutions to go with EAS Suite and based on P38 experience and knowledge...

Shame when i had asked for answer about LSE and Testbook.

When i talked about calibration blocks making faster recalibration, he said : " Make yourself a set of blocks or go buy some". :beer2:

I really like the way you defend him it looks so sweet:p

Not defending anyone, just trying to clarify what could be a misunderstanding.

You have made a cogent and detailed arguement to support your retorts, that is all I ask for.

Pray tell - why does it '...look so sweet.' what have I done to deserve a derisory comment such as that?
