Just got back from the lro show, my first one and probably the last...
Me and my partner werent impressed. The trade stands were an exception, the help and advice from them was worth its weight in gold, as for the Ed Cobley stunts, well I was falling asleep, the food was ****e and way over priced and with the choice of ****e, ****e or ****in ****e, the evening entertainment was diabolical - the dj had obviously bought every ''now album'' since they began and had a serious hearing problem, the evening camping crowd had all forgotten to take their prozac and the miserableness was infectious. To top it off, part of the lro team thought they'd have a go at being a band. They totally demolished the likes of Oasis' ''cigarettes and alchohol'' and when wonderwall was totally ridiculed, I was ready to blow my brains out.

My thoughts were echoed upon by many others I spoke to too.

For all those who did have a good time, get out often do you?

Other good bits:

lots of loo roll in the toilets
No dog **** on my shoes
Nice donuts
couple of decent looking whores

Hello,

Me and my mate went up to the show for the day today, we were also not impressed, basically the same comments as above.
Total waste of money (specially in petrol :(). on the good side i did find a couple of 90 200TDi's for sale that I'm interested in looking into buying when i sell my 110 V8.

Scott.

i hate to say i told you so but aren't the majority of these organised events all the same, they tend to rest on their laurels and expect the crowds to come, i think you best all book up for next june and see how a fun time should be ;)

same as above, i enjoyed the trade stands and seeing other peoples land rovers about. food was wayyyyy over priced. glad i only went for the day and not the weekend as the evening sounded like a bag of poo. the FMX could have been better too.

you should all have come with me when the show finished on sat. i went up to shakespeare county raceway for some hot rod drag racing :) 1/4 mile in 6.9sec. at 205mph anyone? racing all day, food was cheap. camping and day pass £20... cant say fairer than that.

sorry boys but if you mean Billing then it may not happen... well thats the rumour i heard. i am P.R officer for our local club so will keep my ear to the ground and let you know what i hear. we had a club stand at LRO and the show was tiny. :( still, our moglite pulled people in to have a loook and we had a barbie and got bladderd on the sat night so to avoid the awful entertainment if you can call it that!

Sounds like LRe are moving the show to a different venue, not that far away.

Cheers
