Just got back .. really enjoyed it!
Rain was OK, forced a few people into our 'Event Shelter' (big gazebo type thing) and my tent is properly waterproof so slept like a log both nights .. Bought a couple of soft shackles, Goodwinch for £10 each, so quality and value, some parallel punches, dunno where me old ones went and a couple of rubber donut exhaust hangers.
Very nice to meet @Turboman and @NorfolkBird , good of you to call in ..
saw a couple of people from a different life, years ago, and had a right good chin wag. Met some wonderful, some strange and some foreign people too ... can't fault the weekend.
Oh, and 'work' ... Glass signed up 25 ish new members over the weekend, which wasn't bad considering we were on the edges of clubland ..
Thanks for your hospitality, @Paul D , I got back early this morning. Really pleased that you managed to rope in so many more for the cause!
People say landrovers are slow, but it took us the same time to go 17 miles in the boat as it took you to get to Yorkshire in a Ninety!
Really enjoyed the Saturday at the show, was a good day out, lots of stuff to see and buy, and an impressive performance from the modified winch challenge boys in the main ring.
And it was a pleasure to meet @Huddy84 and his brother, and take advantage of their shelter rigged up against the ex military 110 when one of the occasional heavy showers came through.
