I drove a 110 td5, but I only get to drive broken ones generally

That's cos it doesn't exist.

Looks like he's zip-tied the poor girl behind him hands together (probly so she can't ring any vicars or wedding venues):D

Ere Ratty :director:

Maybe we should invite our journalist friend to come down on the Chip Run later in the year?

We can show him some of the formerly 'hidden' Dorset lanes which were made public by the LRO/LRM/etc greenlane guides which have since been either closed or trashed when 4x4s from across the country descended on them en masse with no consideration of ground/weather conditions.

I see LRO, has just done a greenlanes section on Strata. Wonder how long before that gets thrashed, trashed and TRO'd. Hangon maybe the editors of LRO are Ramblers and this is a cunning plan to get all the green lanes closed down

Of course on the bright side. Maybe some of the numpties that go out and thrash the lanes will try strata when it's in flood and get themselves and their vehicles deaded..

When we did Strata last September the off piste vandalism was easy enough to spot although I did wonder just how big some of the tyres were as the ruts were huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge:mad:
I did get the V8 through the water, not quite bonnet under but deep enough for DV and Drewster to take the ****, have heard that peeps have had to camp out in the past to allow the water to subside....

I'm sticking my neck out here by saying this but it does seem strangely coincidental that since pics and a grid ref of a local lane in Dorset (that was pretty much unknown and unspoilt) was made common knowledge in a 4x4 magazine 'Coastal Greenlanes' story - its usage has gone through the roof, off piste play is also a problem as you can see from the pictures.

If we were stood here two years ago it would have been grassy and covered in bluebells

And in case you're wondering yes, we drove the lane downhill and unsurprisingly caused no further damage to it, I shall be returning with friends in the summer with equipment to try and save it from going past the point of no return.

Common sense, perhaps the journalists need to exercise some common sense too or would they like to give us all directions to their lawns/gardens so we can arrive en masse and return the favour?

I can only hope that Strata Florida doesn't suffer the same fate.

I recognise that. That was where the coffin dodger was moaning about marking his paintwork on the bushes. ;):D

We also did a recce down there on foot cos I lent the handheld cb to those that went down.

Ha, yes I think so :D
You'll see it with your own eyes next weekend when I take you to see it on the recce trip ;) although I'm starting to wonder about the state of a couple of the other lanes further west, guess Drewster and I will find out in a few weeks time..

Too late, there have been too many f**king idiots on strata already, have been for the last couple of years!

Personally i've reported two lots to the police.
