Still hunting for a 90 to splash my cash on, nearly 4 months now:(

I keep seeing LR4U with landys for sale on ebay but a sceptical of them. Seem to have alot of defenders for sale but the pics never seem to have been taken in the same place. All sorts of weird and wornderful backgrounds on their ads.

Has anyone else had any dealings with them? Not much comes up if i search for them on LZ.

Thanks

I've seen this LR4U on eBay and on Autotrader. The website is just a domain that is for sale and I can't find much else out about them/it/he/she.

Can't tell you a lot more I'm afraid.

The domain is registered to some guy in New York..

I bought a 1991 Defender from him. He had a few old Defenders for sale. He operates from his house near Bacup. Not the best buying experience and the brakes failed after a few days almost killing me! Not his fault I suppose but no warranty and he did pay 1/2 the cost of fixing them.

not suggesting any connection but Jan the landy man is in the same area and the horror stories on forums re him are extensive... its not the same guy trading under a second name is it?? seems odd that 2 landy dealers could find enough stock to survive so close top each other??

Cheers Steve

he who deals off a public car park, stopped to look at one once he said he was selling it for a mate.at this point it definitely became walk away time

DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM HIM!!!! He sold me a car which he so called had taken in as a part exchange and the mileage had been clocked back. He refused to give me my money back and take the car back. He also refused to even give some money back which reflects the true value based on the high mileage. After numerous letters and no response I now have to take him to court but the 2 addresses I have of his, I don't even know if they are his. His receipt was a garage address but where I viewed the car it was a farm. I should have walked away at that point but I thought as he is listed as a trader and has a lot of cars he can't be dodgy. But believe me, he is!!! He lives in Bacup.
