Just a tip m8, Before asking for help just say hi, your name, what you drive etc etc...

Just gets the grumps off your back :)

So maybe edit the post to do that

:welcome: anyways from Barnsley...just up M1 :p

Hi My name is eric and I am an alco... ohh wait its not that group.

HI PEAK 4x4... thats where my landy is from it had an amazing botch job of filla in it but I dont think that was from them.. looking through the receipts and service records they did good reasonably priced work. My landy is also still running and is in better nick than most.

Welcome to the mad house.

There are a number of members from around your neck of the woods, so somebody should be along soon with recommendations of garages in your area. I'm afraid I'm too long out if the area to offer reasonable advice (the last work I had done on a Landy in Chesterfield was at a garage on the A61 who sold John Deere tractors as well as s/h landies some where near the old sunbrite factory.

As for fluids, a quick search using the search button (not the google one) should get you the answer and avoid the rush of axe-wielding vets telling you to do a f@*%#g search.:D

DO A F###### SEARCH:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:D:D

Welcome to the madhouse fella, good sense of humour essential. Can't help with the garage, but just a quick one, what do you mean by 'diff fluid' i.e. oil for the diffs, or ATF for the transfer box??

They are in chapel en le frith so not that close to chesterfield.
Im sure there are places closer than that but we dont know where you are.

lol thanks for all the coments.

My name is Simon but call me Sy im from chesterfield, Derbyshire
I drive a 96 landrover discovery 300tdi, Its my first disco and enjoying it very much so far.

Many thanks Sy

Ive just been out having a nosy under the bonnet because one of the pulleys near the a/c is making a whine noise when your accelerating with it ive also noticed that there is no viscous fan on it but there are 2 fans behind the grille but are they both for the a/c. Looks like i have no F*****g fan lol

try Cavendish motors on Storforth Lane Trading Estate, never used em for repairs myself, but occasionally use them for parts, there's also tonks at Huthwaite, who did some work on my 90 a few years back. Both a lot closer than high peak
