I didn't realise their was a pre defender 90 or 110. Am I right in saying that their is a LR defender 110 as well as a LR 110?

I've always refered to mine as a defender 110 but it's probably just a 110. I can't see the word "defender" on the log book.

Mine is a 22.11.85 n/a diesel.

Bizarrely it should be written as a “OneTen”, even though the badges say “LandRover110”.
Now you know you’ve not got a Defender you can start correcting people when they say “ nice Defender, mate! “, you say “well, actually it’s not a Defender it’s a...”. They’ll soon get bored and wander off.

My 1990 90 is also not a Defender. It was one of the last turbo diesels made all though today it has a 200tdi.

My 110, 1990 was a pre production run which was given to the French military for assessment. It's a Defender and was one of the first.

Defender name was used from mid 1990.

I think some of the later military na landys were built after the defender name came in.
