the red light flashes on the lpg switch but the gas will not switch over even when temprature is normal, any advice greatly appreciated

Hi.

Is there any gas?

Is the pressure switch working?

Is there enough water in the system?

Are all the solenoids operating to allow gas to the engine?

hi, thanx for your reply,
yes there is gas
yes there is water and the vapouriser is getting hot
how do i check the pressure sswitch and solenoids

Disconnect the solenoids, and put 12V across them. You should hear a good loud click / clunk type noise if they open.

I would imagine if you have the software the gas ECU should tell you what the fault is. You can generally get the software as a download, and the leads are pretty cheap on ebay.

I would check out the LPG forum over at lpgforum.co.uk, they are a friendly bunch, and always have good advice..
