HI all
I've got a disco 3.9 V8 running a brc LPG conversion but when im running on petrol (there's not enough LPG staions around) the engine tends to idle erraticlly pulsing between about 300 and 1100 rpm, when im running gas it runs fine, is this a serious problem or just a small thing i can leave till the next service ????

second problem being the passenger door lock open off the fob but wont lock, its tries to but pops back up its does lock on the key most of the time any idears???

That is quite normal!

The Lambda sensors get confused with gas, and that upsets the idle. Gas emits very little if any carbon, which is what the lambda is looking for. (Trying to explain this is laymans' terms - quite hard! Lol!)

BRC are one of the better kits - if it is running fine, then great. You could send in for a service if you wanted to ease your mind, but would carry on doing the same. They all do!

If you get onto contrywide farmers who are BRC dealers, they will have a list of LPG stations - they are not just in petrol stations....places that sell bottled gas also do autogas, as do many caravan dealers. Flogas have stations dotted about where you would never expect them too!

Out of interest, you can get an LPG station add in for Tom Tom's. I've found it very useful and never use petrol. I also have a Countrywide account, couldn't be easier.

I had my 90 set up to run optimum on Gas, solution to your problem is to always run on Gas...

Sounds like the MAF sensor to me. I had the same problem with mine then it went to a misfire, then wouldn't run with it plugged in. The LPG doesn't need the same bob on mixture as petrol.
