Hello, I will be collecting my Range Rover 4.6 HSE in a few days. It has been converted to LPG. Two questions, the system is aTatarini, is this a quality system? And how many miles to the gallon should i expect to acheive?
I have searched the web for the answer to these questions, but am getting lots of different opinions.
I look forward to becoming a regular visitor to this site when my R R arrives.

Many Thanks..

hi,had my 4.6 converted about a year ago with a romano sequential system,up untill the first service i was dissapointed with the gas milage returns i was getting, after the first service things got a lot better .
it is now doing 3.5...4 miles to the litre on a run, which,if you think of the gas you can buy for the price of a gallon of petrol gives me around 36...38 m.p.g.which i think is good for the size of the engine
only snag is that the price of gas is going up quick....

hi,first two sevices was free, after that i need to get it serviced once a year, they are going to charge me for an hours labour only...around 30 quid they say..one thing i have found though is that your lambda sensors have to be absolutly spot on to get good fuel returns.

Thanks for you info Wintergreen...Not ever owning a Range Rover before i am sure there will be loads more questions i will be asking....

Does the 4.6 HSE have a cam belt or is it chain driven?

Thanks for that Dorset....Spoke to the guy i am buying the car from, he dident know whether it was a Belt or Chain...like you say, one less thing to worry about.
He has also told me that when using the heating and air con, they go off when you go over a bump, he reckons a loose conection ???

Any thoughts.

Hi

I am about to take delivery of a 4.0 1998 RR. Can anyone tell me, is this also chain driven?

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.
