What's a discovery?
It's one of those things the lower classes drive until they can afford to be in this section properly.
Maybe he hoped no one would notice, what with having a V8.
Bet yur feel silly now
not really as i use it 2 go 2 and from work. Proberbly because i can afford 3 cars and a motorbike and not be big headed about it unlike some......

back to the subject in hand....... I'd check the operation of the 2 solenoid valves in the supply line. If its cutting out immediately you change over to gas, then chances are, no gas is reaching the manifold. Should be an electric solenoid valve where the supply line comes outta the tank and another just before the supply line goes into the regulator/reducer/vaporiser whatever you want to call it, in the engine bay. Check there is power going to them both when the changeover switch is on gas, if yes, next check they actualy work. Put a live supply from the battery direct to the + terminal of the solenoid coil - you should hear it click in. Usualy turns out to be a busted wire to the solenoid is the problem.
