im having an issue with my 99 4.0 thor thats got a dream xxi lpg system fitted
when i fill it up with lpg after a few minutes driving it switches back over to petrol as if the lpg has run out
i have to pull over restart the engine and it will run on lpg again for a few minutes
its a bit annoying to say the least

when was it last serviced ???????? also do you get over to boston area any time ???????? cheers mozz

hi , isn't there a switch button on the lpg display unit ????? on dash as normally you can press that and it will switch back to gas so you don't have to stop the car and turn ignition off !!!!!! sounds very peculiar ,,,, check lpg forum see if a lpg specialist is near you ,,, a full service -filter -and re-trim and diagnostic should usually cost about £ 70.00 tops ,, check google etc cheers theres a brilliant fella over boston way at antons gout ,that's who I use , well recommend , cheers mozz

Best to get lpg Ecu on diagnostics, mine was doing a similar thing ,randomly switching back to petrol ,had to switch engine off and restart ,turned out the temperature sensor on the vapourizer had a broken wire and would sometimes loose the conection and it told the ecu it was -25 degrees,so shut the system down, pushing the change over switch did nothing in my case ,had to switch off and restart, you can buy software and diagnose it yourself from a laptop.

thats seems to be whats happening with mine
i do have the software for it somewhere so might plug it in and see
will see whos local to where i live see if they can look at it

I had a similar thing on Grand Cherokee (luckily spotted the fuel gauge heading south as I was on the motorway).
Installers replaced the ECU. That sorted it for a while but then it started happening again within 2 weeks.
In the end they replaced everything under warranty (except the tank, filler and reducer).
Its since been sold to my mate who hasn't a bad word to say about it.

I now own a P38 4.0 SE and I've learnt lots of bad words.....
