Can i do a service of my BRC LPG system or a least change filters -I've found a new gas filter and may stick a couple on ebay if it works ok -Can i just pull of the pipe taking care of course and loose a bit of gas in the process -Are they self priming -I have a slight miss-fire ever few minutes which is not a tall present when running on petrol and would like to try a few simple things first -any help would be great

"Can i do a service of my BRC LPG system" plus "Can i just pull of the pipe" why not, if you have the skills to do it.
Sounds like you haven't therefore, for safety, better to leave it to those that have the skils when working with LPG :)

The LPG filters going to the injectors need changing regularly, and are more or less a DIY job. Make sure you have the hose clips properly done up afterwards.

There won't be any gas under pressure if the engine is shut off, you may get a small whiff but nothing major. They do 'self-bleed', and most go through a purge cycle before switching over to gas from petrol.

Misfiring on gas could be the injector blocks or plugs or plug leads. LPG takes a bit more to fire than petrol, so you may find that a decent set of plugs might cure the problem.
