does anyone have any ideas on how much it costs to have one of these converted? Im in south wales and cant seem to find anyone who wants to send me a quote... thanks

Mine was converted when I got it & to be honest it looks pretty simple to install..specially on 2.25 landy engine. You'd save yourself a fortune doing it yer self.

i bought a kit off of ebay for £130 & fitted it myself, pretty straight foreward...... these days they are all injection & they tend to say carb systems are outdated.....so most outlets are not interested. I guess there is more money in complicated systems??? The end result is approx 1/3 more mileage for your money..... 30 miles for £5 instead of 20 on petrol

i do spend a lot of time going up a long hill & along duel carridge ways but try to keep to 60mph but as ive overdrive then i do nudge 70 regularlythe only way id get more mpg is if i slow down

just out of interest, do you find it runs better on LPG or petrol? mines fine on both but going up a hill it gets a bit sluggish on lpg..so I switch to petrol and it immediately starts picking up.

yes hills tend to be slower on lpg than petrol.....my guess is yours is wound right back to weak so under full load it struggles. As we have a lot of hills here i decided to stay rich so better under load & on the open road to get speed up.....hence my lower fuel figures. So yes mine does go fast:)

thanks for all your rteplies , I've been unable to post as the first landrover I bought last week was a total scrapper in disguise, luckely I talked the garage I bought it of to give me my money back. I've now got a fantastic 1983 swb series 3 pics to follow.
