Recently purchased my 2002MY 90 Hardtop and noticed that it sits about 2 cm lower on the left land side (passenger side) both front and back. Do I have a problem here, or is this typical of a 90 of this age? Springs look OK.
 
With genuine land rover suspension and some after market springs/shocks the drivers side should be slightly higher so it sits level with a driver in it.
Hang on.... how much is 20cms in English? Is that nearly 8 inches?? Unless you weigh 25 stone your suspension is likely fooked :)
 
springs are probably starting to sag....

Springs are cheap and not too difficult to fit, so grab a set.
 
Got the same problem on mine.. Think it's my front left spring, makes more if a difference on the front cos of the weight of the engine. I'm just being lazy and can't be arsed to change em!
 
My 1994 hardtop still sits pretty level, so suspect (and think you know :)) springs need changing when you can be bothered
 
If you stand at the side of your LR and pushing on your gutters give a good rocking and let go..... it should stop level (what ever it was) at once. If it rocks a few time till it stops your shocks need replacing. You can bounce up and down on the front bumper. Result should be no bounce after you fall off :)
 
I have just replaced all springs and shocks on our 110 92 DEF CSW. The back are spot on from a level perspective but the front seems a lot higher and 2 inches or so higher on the drivers side than the passengers.

Will this sort itself out ? The Drivers spring is the longer NRC9448 and 9449 on the other side.

11 3/4 inches one side (Passenger) 12 3/4 inches other side (Driver) (measurement of spring bottom of mount to the top)

Measurement from floor to eyebrow has 5cm 2 inches difference.

Am I over worrying ? it feels fine driving and I didnt notice any major difference before I changed them.
 
I too have a 45mm difference in height - driver's side being higher.

Was told by the garage I bought it from that this tends to happen over time whereby old springs will flex at different rates and eventually sag differently.

I intend to swap my suspension at some point but for now it causes no problems and I have other things to do first.
