yes

how much is open to debate = or whether it is significant.

in the summer, i completely overhauled the block, and today i fitted a second hand head, timed it all up, it sounds beautiful, runs lovely, no leaks either.

but i noticed as i pulled up on my driveway after taking the Mrs to get the shopping, that the oil light was flickering very faintly, i checked oil level immediately to find it was on low on the dipstick, ive let it cool for a few hours and it is just above the low on the dipstick now, so im kind of thinking its just oil levels rather than something drastically wrong with the engine, im going to drop a liter of lucas oil stabilizer in tomorrow, unless anyone advises against this?

just on tick over,

ive had new oil pressure relief valve, oil pump, pressure switch, new big ends and cam bearings, also some new oil pressure relief squirt bolts.

so unless theres a crack somewhere, or a blockage im stumped

I had this problem, before doing anything else change the switch.

The springs inside get week with age and start to kick in at higher and higher pressures.

I faffed around for ages trying to solve this.
