I have a discovery 3, 2006, 2.7 hse, and I keep getting a low coolant warning, and yet the coolant in the expansion bottle is at the correct level, and the engine shows no sign of overheating. Anyone got any ideas as to what the fault might be.???

The L322 monitors the amount of antifreeze in the coolant also, maybe the Disco 3 does the same?

Replace the sensor, a genuine one will only cost you £12.49 plus vat and postage.

this is new to me! do you have any clue how it works? guessing some kind of refractometer o_O

There's a float on the level sensor which I think is a hydrometer. I had coolant warning a few times until I increased the anti-freeze concentration. (for L322)
