Hi

During the last week my Defender TDI 300 has lost power immediately when starting a couple of times. Both times I was parked facing up a reasonable hill and pulled off only to almost immediately stall. I then restarted the engine and sailed off without problem.

I have also noticed that the engine is taking ever so slightly longer to start when I turn the key in the ignition, even though the battery is relatively new and it isn't yet cold here in Cornwall. This I've noticed at home when parked on a flat drive.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

I would suspect air ingress or fuel starvation. Easiest place to start is to inspect fuel leak off pipes. If they are old or deteriorating, replace them. Fuel line is only buttons and they simply pull off.
