Hi have 1996 range rover p38 dse diesel running on springs but lost all gears overnight ok one day next day nothing. I brought it already convert the other thing I'm getting is a displayed message 35mph on dash if any one with a conversion has any ideas what has gone wrong there help would be grateful k

Autobox? Check level and colour of fluid.

Manual box could be spiral clutch pins.

35 mph message is because you put it on coil springs. Should have been an EAS bypass kit fitted. Better still, put it back on air.

Thanks for your advice I never put the conversion from air to springs on the old gal got rid of 35 mph warning on display have lights on gear selector. Now have abs light on .do you think it would be a good idea to drain gear box and start with fresh oil ???? And again thanks for your help first automatic in 30year of driving manual no problem

If you move the gear selector does it have any movement in any gear?

ABS light won't go out until you go over 5mph.

@RangeRoller dt knows where to get the EAS bypass kit and where it plugs in.

How many bloody threads do you want on the same subject. Have you taken any notice of questions and suggestions in your first thread yet? Have looked to see if gear stick movement is being transmitted to XYZ switch on side of gearbox?
