I believe these motors have been known to have leaks on the egr coolers that may not show externally
a pressure test may well be needed.
 
I shall continue to make regular changes. Sooner safe than sorry.
Cannot argue with that, but it will go for many years longer.]
We do not change it on the trucks at all unless it comes apart for other work.
 
Hi. Floors are dry. Assume there are heaters in the rear ( may be wrong).Not sure about the Diesel heater.....how do you find that out?
 
+1 on pressure test. Get it warm first, and then test with engine off. It can be surprising how the coolant from a small leak evaporates on a hot engine, hence you cannot find it !!
 
Thanks all once again. As advised earlier, I'm a a bit reluctant to do any work on the system as it should ( still following this up as we speak) be under warranty. Bought some coolant - should I simply keep topping up until I can organize a thorough check.....it won't do any further damage will it?

I'd get the warranty to follow it up for you. Best to top it up and let them know straight away so it can logged👍
