Hi im looking to buy a second hand landy have been looking at the defender station wagon as i wan ta bit more comfort and have to use it as an everday car with motor way driving but am unable to find one that isnt an old work dog. my budget is around £3k. would a disco be an ok compromise for my budget if so what do i have to look out for?
any help greatly appreciated.

For what you want a Land Rover for the Discovery isn't a compromise when using a Defender in the same sentence! It is the obvious choice of the two.

unless you want a project as I did,buy a disco-family friendly

any issues with the differant models i should look at? going to look at a 2000 4.0l v8 on monday

liner slip,head gasket, failure,blocked radiators etc
