Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone can pinpoint my issue from this incredibly vague post.

I have a clicking/ticking sound from the front passenger wheel when steering. Imagine, if you will, the exact sound a bad CV joint makes. I know it's not this because I have just changed the CV joint, I then thought maybe it was the wheel bearing (i had to re-replace the axle oil seal anyway) so I replaced that too. Still ticking.

I thought it might be the axle breather clipping the tyre as I turn, nope. I thought maybe the tyre was catching the wheel arch trim, nope.

It's coming from the passenger side front wheel, follows the wheel speed, and is much louder if I'm turning past a solid wall that can reflect the sound. I can't see any form of rubbing or touching anywhere, the prop is all good (no loose bolts, no play).
I have replaced the CV, wheel hub bearing assembly, the steering ball joints were done a few months ago, the roll bar bushes were done a few months ago, drag bar and track link ends were all recently done (all way before the ticking appeared, bar the CV and wheel hub)

I fear I may be losing my sanity that the Land Rover fever has got to me and it's all in my head.

Any inspiration would be greatly appreciated.

You’ve checked there is nothing stuck in the tyre…?

Edit; how certain are you that it is that wheel? Noises from underneath can be misleading as to which corner there are coming from (if indeed a corner at all… prop?)

Yeah I found a few TINY stones and dug them all out, still ticking away. I'm not 100% sure of anything at this point but it sounds just like the other CV did when it went. I've checked the props, nothing seems out of whack.

Check the rear driveshafts/CV’s…?
Can you replicate it if jacked up and spinning the wheel…?
