Yea i did think about that but i hate skinny tyres so its a no-go. But i really like the look of Mikes Disco so i may have to do a bit of cutting to get the look i want. As long as i do a neat job with the grinder i'll be ok. I think haha

the pic in my profile is of mine with 33/12.5/15 kumho m/t tires. it had about 2 inch lift and very minor trimming, still caught on full articulation. but in my opinion this size looks best.
i'v now got the wide plastic arches and another 1.5 inch lift. really easy to do.

Cheers dude. You can really see how close the tyres are to the body in that pic. Got to have the big tyres tho, They look awesome

Well. I got stuck today for over 45 mins in my dads A6 TDi. Got towed out by my mums bf's Disco 300TDi. Then we went up the moors sledging. Lucky one of the lads gave us a lift in another Disco. 8up with sledges on thick snow, up hill, no worries... Deffo want 1 now haha.

maybe Im just getting old but I dont nderstand the obsession with really wide tyres - when I had me first S3 all i wanted for it was a set of xcl's, couldnt afford em so it were a set of 6.5" remoulds.

if your paying £1800 for an XS then why not look for a decent ES specced disco instead? electric leather seats, cruise control, and i picked up a reasonable milage ex LR disco for £2k. slightly harder to find but worth it in my opinion.

I like the wide tyres. Love the way they look, Allways have done since i was young.

Yea i spotted an ES for sale the other day. I wouldnt mind aircon and all that Jazz. But i just like the way the XS looks. TBH i'm just looking at what comes up at the mo. I'll spend upto £3000 but i dont have the funds until i sell the golf. But i can buy 1 for about 2000ish now if i want.
