Long time Land Rover fan but think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger. Currently driving an '02 Land Cruiser which I have absolutely loved - just ready for a change.

Got a few questions if you guys don't mind helping out:

-At 45k miles, what are the common issues I need to look for / ask about up front?

-If I plan on putting another 60k miles on the truck over the next 3-4 yrs, what should my maintenance cost expectations be? (Electric, tranny, water pump, fuel pump, etc). This is my biggest concern - my land cruiser has been flat out phenomenal, and it's got 180k miles

:welcome2: I assume you are talking about a Disco 4? Electric handbrake is a common problem. You will be very lucky if it's as reliable as your Landcruiser. If I had the cash I'd have a Landcruiser rather than a P38:)

Our D4 just made it to 55k not a single problem so far 400 mile towing trip tomorrow and will be covering 10k in the next few months. Just keep the handbrake adjusted and cleaned out every 6 months and will be no problems.
