Just got my reggie doc under spaecial notes
1) was registered/used overseas declared manufactured 1996, which I knew
2)Substantilly repaired and/or accident damaged identity checked on 7/3/2011
What's all that mean

Call the DVLA.

Category C Repairable salvage. Usually applies to vehicles with significant damage and where the cost of repairs exceeds the book value. It can be sold for repair but must have VIC(Vehicle Identity Check) inspection before returning to the road. V5 documents are returned to DVLA and recorded as category C vehicles. You can re-apply for registration on the original identity once the VIC inspection has been done. VIC inspection and re-registration removes the Category C classification, but evidence it was at one time Category C remains on the vehicle's record at the DVLA and so will appear on a vehicle data check.

one other thing that concerns me is when i transfed my insurance over the car came back as a van however the doc says 5 door estate ?? temped to stay stum

I'd get them changed so they say the same...insurance may be void in event of a claim.

Be care full leaving the log book as a van not an estate, if you enter a Low emission zone after jan as a van you will get charged £100 a day, you can easily get this changed and will benifit you when you sell it on. You may not live in a low emission zone, but if on holiday you entre a city withone you will get the bill. Also soon the zone will extend
