can anyone help?
I have a 2006 discovery 3. recently had a new key fob but everytime I lock the car the passenger door stays unlocked. all other doors and boot lock fine. i also tried the key in passenger door lock but it won't turn.
any ideas???
Cheers

Faulty lock or its mechanism I would think, obviously if the key won't turn, so that's the first place I'd look at.

Did you have a new blade cut as well or just the fob?

I had a key cutters cut me a new blade that wouldn't turn the lock, turns out the new blade was a slightly wider towards the handle and fowled the lock. Trimmed it down and it worked.

If not, have you tried some anti seize spray? WD40 like. Don't twist too hard, that's how I broke my key blade! If that works spray some lubricating oil (not WD-40) in there afterwards.

You shouldn't be using WD40 in locks, it leaves a fine oily coating which will attract the dust and eventually become a solid lump of goo.
The only lube you should use in a lock is graphite dust.

Dry lube won't unstick a siezed lock.

Once you use graphite dust then the only lube you can use is graphite dust, else you get bunged up with goo. But if you (and following owners) never use graphite dust then oily lube will do.
