hi I'm new to this and have found so far it very helpful in the build

I a pair of Lockheed calipers No 3247-640C with 41mm pistons I have a new seal and piston kit STC 1278 but it has no seals that go between the 2 half's of the caliper

Where can I get these

Usually recommended not to split calipers which is why the seals aren't included in the overhaul kits.
Factory manual for my RRC states 'Do not separate the caliper halves' in bold type for fronts & rears.
I'm sure many do, but I never have so can't help.

Often split motorcycle calipers during restoration.
Seals are usually only small O rings recessed into the face of one half and over the fluid drillings joing each half (if you have opposed pistons).
Specific brake fluid resistent O rings can be obtained easily but you must use only those that are.

Thanks for the replies
Okay the manual says do not split but too late they’ve been split cleaned and ready for rebuild
Any idea where I can obtain the seals or at least part number or size

Hi Green fender

Than you for the information parts ordered

I suspect we might not be going for the genuine ones:eek:
Blimey how do they justify that.
Just a word, I ordered some parts from there on 04/04 and there is no sign called and e mailed but cant get a reply.
I know things are far from normal and they may have big problems, but just to let you know.
By the way calipers look good what did you do to them?

I ordered a new seal tub caps to upper body, its listed as genuine, I tried to call them this morning but it says they cant answer my call.
I have used them in the past and they seem OK cylinder head bolts were good.
Maybe you should call them and try to place the order see what happens.

My parts took two weeks to arrive, after which I received this email from them, at no point did I make any complaint to them, so this was nice to see :
