The 12s socket usually has 3 lives. One is permanent, the other two are activated via a relay when the engine is started.

So, you need to get the correct one... Normally, pin 4 (bottom or 6 o'clock) is the permanent live via a fuse and pin 3 or pin 7 are both earthed. So If you just need to unlock the doors, stick a live wire in pin 3 and an earth in the centre pin. Job done so long as you actually have a 12s (white) caravan socket :p

Hmmm. Mine must be an older version or a cut down version. I have the P38 and Disco 2 and Defender and the Freelander. Replace the Freelander with the Classic and what more could you want?

Get em all....................You know you want to......:D

Cheers

Parking has become an issue here. They managed to squeeze in a block of flats on the wider than usual pavement between the doctor's and the Post Office. Of course, no parking for these people and they all have cars. So, there are cars on the verges and all sorts, even in front of my drive some days which is a tad annoying.

So brand new problem now! The car feels I lose power/drive the revs go up but not the speedo. Then the car returns to normal it happened once and I put it down to cold weather (ridiculous I know) but it happened again today... Bloody car!!! I'm thinking transmission fluid low, fuel injector problem, fuel pump problem? Is this all linked to the water pump I had replaced? Once again all comments very welcome
