If you play with a flat battery or change a battery on a P38 golden rule is leave a door open or a window if possible but most important one is key in pocket never in ignition.

If you are ordering a new FOB, unless you know the number of you existing FOB, order a FOB number 3. Wit two FOB's of the same number, only one can be synced.

I believe you can have them cut just with the VIN?

aslong as the becm hasn't been changed:eek: & ive swapped a few in my time:D:D:D:lalala: (to be fair im not that cruel I write the reg & vin number on the becm from donor vehicle)

Is the VIN stored in the BECM? Could check with diagnostics.

I will take the car and a photo copy of the V5 into Greytec Landrover and ask them to check the vin on the becm and order me a key.
