My P38 battery went dead and I could not get in the car ( remote not working) We decided that if we could somehow get in to release the bonnet, we could recharge the battery and then the remote would work.
We have now smashed one on the windows to gain access and have recharged the battery but the doors will not budge.

We've tried : Special key sequence code, new batteries in the fob (though the red light is intermittant) and also resetting the key fob.
The locks are not budging.

Anyone any ideas - Or want to buy it cheap?

Thanks
Karen

smashing a window is bloody severe! i heard of people connecting cables to the starter motor connection and earth then charging batter this way! and no broken glass in sight!
sorry its a bit late to come up with this, maybe should have asked before looking for the hammer, lol.....

maybe try disconnecting the battery again for a while in the hope of a reset?

This happened to me last week, battery went flat and it locked out, luckily my doors werent dead locked so was able to open bonnett. Changed battery and went through the code sequence, it didn't work and every time I opened the door the alarm went off. After 3 attempts you have to leave it for half an hour, so came back to it tried it and still no joy Lost my temper opened the door with alarm going put key in ignition, engine started alarm reset, fob worked!!!?????!!!!! Bizarre
I nearly put a hammer through the window out of frustration and I could get in!!
Good luck with it, they have a mind of there own.

Thanks for the replies:

Just to update incase this happens to anyone else -
We eventually had to get our rangie flat bedded up to the garage.

Turns out all this hassle was the result of one brocken door lock sensor.
Basically the key code couldn't be recognised so the whole thing was stuck in superlock.

I now can't believe that there is no other way to get in the car or bonnet.
(extra £172 for one side window) Seems crazy but there you go.

Thanks again
Karen
