please help some1! i locked the car forgot something in the boot, blipped the boot open. I then put keys on boot floor picked goods up and shut the tailgate:doh:. I've tried aa rac greenflag:confused: they couldn't get in. The stealers :eek:ain't open to monday but dreading the price and never got a spare with the car:mad:. Any bright sparks with a trick up their sleeve please help. thanks in advance.

As stupid as it sounds, would popping rear 1/4 window and unlocking the door not be cheaper than getting the car recovered to the stealers for them to do it?

Alternatively, I have seen some people open up the top of the the door frame with a bar/lever of some sort the insert a plastick wedge while working on the door lock from inside.

Try not to break any of the rear windows as these contain antennas for different car systems and they will be much more expensive to get repaired,. If you need to break in break one of th front windows, climb in and then climb over the centre console cubby box in to the rear, once in the rear passenger compartment lower the rear seats to gain entry to the boot area, you can then release the tailgate by the internal pull tab (it's the black tab on the left hand side looking for the inside the tab is on the left) your insurance company may cover the repair you tell them someone has tried to break in ;)

Hope that helps
Matt

There is a way in without smashing the window but I aint gonna post it on an open forum for security reasons and cos even if I tell you how to do it you won't have the tool you need to do the job. Try and get hold of landrover assistance cos they know how to do it. All I can say is that it's done via the vehicles wiring loom rather than by pulling levers or catches etc. Where abouts in the UK are you. If yer in my neck of the woods and you call one of the breakdown clubs after 6pm I'll be on duty.
