help needed, wife came home from work today and the disco was sitting low on the drivers side, about 2 inches lower than the n/s,so i had a fiddle with the ride sensor on the back thinking it may be stiff or something but seemed fine, after this the ride height had dropped another 2 inches. I tried to pump up the suspension with the button on the dash but the light just flashes as thou it is trying to lift the airbags then stops on thinking it has reached the new height whn in fact nothing has changed, Is there a way of testing the compressor to see if it works ,or a way to reset the system to factory settings. Now the suspension raised light is perminantly lit but the car is on its arse on the driver's side.

Until this we have had no problems at all with the suspension or anything else, hope i can get it sorted as the hols are near and i need it to tow my caravan:D

any suspension adjustments made by the computer are done with the doors closed. so always turn the ignition key through the open drivers window and door closed if outside of the car...

if you really suspect the ride sensors and want to test that theory before you buy new ones... grab a 10mm spanner and a jack and swap them over (they're not handed)

it would only take you 1/2 hour or so , jack the car, take off the wheel, whip them off... check for cracking around the bolt holes on the plastic cube... if they are cracked replace them... it will most probably cure your problem.

HI thanks for the reply, changed the sensor this morn for a genuine part, the land rover is now completeley on its arse both sides and refuses to lift, checked the feed at the compressor but 0.Checked all the fuses and relay's all ok, how do i get the compressor to run or is there a fuse hidden somewhere? could the slabs ecu be u/s? thanks

Hi thanks for the input ,took it to the local Land Ranger to day to put it on the test book,   how many faults, but the killer was the suspension pump was totally buggered, £275 later and new pump fitted it is now as high as a kite and as stiff as john lennon just as it should be and compared to how it felt before the pump must of been on its way out when i bought the car. Happy as larry now:) :) :) :) :)
