I'm off on a trip to Chamonix with 5 people with luggage and was wondering how much weight I can carry in a Disco Td5?

owners manual would be the best place. Luggage on a roof rack raised the center of gravity, and severely reduces MPG
Most roof racks have like a 200lb limit as it can cause roof damage. There should be a vehicle tag around the drivers door with all that info

Cheers, I'll have a goose when I get back. Roof rack weighs 70lbs so that knocks me down a bit

I'm not just on about the roof rack, I have a safety devices one which connects to the gutter. I'm on about load weight for the entire vehicles
 
Up to its MGW surely. Around 2720kg? Not sure that I would want to drive it at the max tho.:eek:
Load up and head for the weighbridge. :D
 
Yeah just checked and with a full tank of 'go juice' I get around 600kg to play with which will probably result in an MPG of 5mpg :(
 
20kg is a heavy holiday suitcase, so your max for 5 people could be 100kg. Two on the roof rack and three behind the seats? Plus 450kg for 5 big adults. Well within limits.
