Some of you may be interested to see the wood floor and storage cabinet I made for my car.
Both were quite cheap to make. The floor is some laminate that I had left over from flooring our hallway glued to a base of 5mm MDF. The leather handle came from an on-line equestrian supplier and the chrome trim from a kit car supplies website. The fixings underneath were simply unscrewed from the factory boot floor and refitted to the new one.
The cabinet started life as a storage unit from B&Q. I simply turned it on its side to mount the cupboard doors and drawers. The drinks set is very tongue-in-cheek! The LED lighting I simply soldered to a switch on the side powered by a standard 12v plug into the socket on the side of the boot. The cabinet has rubber feet at the front to stop it shifting and little wheels at the back so it can be brought forward easily. The handles on the top make it easy to remove when I need more space. I finished it off with a cheeky 'Autobiography' badge bought on flea-bay.

Cheers

Shaun
