I have noticed I am losing a bit of water. Not into the oil and the system is no pressured. I think maybe slight leak from head gasket. Was considering using liquid steel to see if it fixes it. Anyone used the stuff dies it work as described.

I think your getting 'Liquid Steel' mixed up with 'Steel Seal' ...
It will be a temporary fix at best ... at worst your engine will need replacing ... you do the maths as you know what you can afford ...

That said, there are some tests to do to see if your worst fears are true or you have a problem that can be fixed at reasonable cost ...

why not fix it?

steel seal /k seal / other such products are not a fix for anything.

why not crack an egg in the radiator as well - bound to help....

All you need is the white and i'm not yolking. Only good for slight rad leaks, no good for H/Gs though. Only cure for a leaking H/G is a new H/G. :D:D

liquid steel isn't like k seal btw, it's a metal epoxy used for repairing steel.. the guy is nuts

V8 or Tdi ?. Either way if you think any sort of "Miracle cure" for the ailment comes in a can or bottle you have been mislead, head gasket replacement with all the associated checks of the head and replacements is the way forward.

Had a head gasket go on my old Ford Explorer 4ltr V6. Was quoted over £1.5k to fix - it's a mega, mega job on one of those. I stuffed a bottle of K-Seal in and it went on for at least another 40k miles before I sold it. For the price of a bottle I'd give it a go.
