You only need 1 on the wing. Any thing else is a bonus.
(Mot man moaned about our mirror on the S1 so folded the windscreen down & handed him the goggles & said now use the 1 on the wing)
You only need one, but if another is fitted then it must be fit for purpose? Ie satisfactory view to the rear not dazzle you at night etc

The mirror is OK for the MOT - there's no prescribed geometry or area, and no requirement for the mirror to avoid the driver being dazzled from behind.
