I seem to remember reading in the manual that the button with the red light built into it is something to do with a pressure test for trailer hydraulics or something, anyway since then the manual got wet and fell to bits and now the red light has come on all the time, anybody got any ideas whats going on?

it means you need to change the oil in the flux capacitor

yeah, I normally mix in a bit of wd40 too, runs better from cold then

Have just found out that it means ive no vacuum in the servo, however that stopped working months ago so its a bit of a delayed reaction.

The shuttle valve is telling you theres low press in one of your brake lines
