i have a problem with my disco 200tdi after going through a few floods i have a problem with my lights they come on but if i go to flash them they completely go off and it takes 5 mins or so for them to come back on the same happend when you use the horn or window wipers can anyone help ??

Electrics don't like water, so 1st check all the connections + the fuse links in the engine bay.

... For when the rozzers decide they're going to stop you ! Seriously Vaseline would prevent the problem but WD 40 might help drive moisture out of your connections.

Yup, for once WD40 (water dispersant 40) is the stuff. Mind you there are some cheap imitations around and I find that some of them, if the can pressure is high, can also do a good job of blasting moisture out.
Only use Vaseline once you know the joints are good because it will trap any moisture and corrosion may continue.

Don't forget to check your earths.

I used to use Vaseline on my trail bike,never dunked it but it was there

WD40 is the stuff ...

check the switches and wire joints, also the relay and fuse fittings ...

(the WD does indeed stand for water dispersant, it does this by actually attracting the water and, if you use enough of it, running off where you sprayed it with the water attached).
