In the last 6 months I have gone back from a P38 to a classic LSE. The LSE still has a few nigles but overall I have been impressed with how it has come together over the period. The suspension has been gone through and replaced accordingly with poly bushes and new air bags etc, the body has been bare metal painted, and I now have a blueprinted 4.6 motor with sequential LPG.
I know this sounds sacrelidge but I'm thinking about putting some RR3 20" wheels on with hub adapters, but can't find any suitable wheel arch extensions. Has anybody come up with a solution for a classic range rover extensions with wider wheels? I'm probably going to have to cut the arches higher to allow clearance when the car is on ots bump stops, I may even have to put longer bumps on to hold the wheel off of the rear arches.
The other thought that I had was to change the lights on the car for brighter ones. 4x4 bits.com do them but I can't get hold of them have they gone bust? Then I thought, it may not be to anybodies taste, why not try and fit some later RR lights either from a p38 or a RR or RRsport. Has anybody on the forum tried this and if so what worked?
Any advice welcomed!
