I have been thinking about purchasing some for my Freelander.

I just wonderd if they affect the quality of the headlights. i.e are they not as bright?
 
Hi,

I have got them fitted to my freelander and they do not seem to effect the lights. Not sure how effective they would be at protecting the lights if they were ever needed tho.

I got em on mine and I have seen no effect on performance, tho bear in mind you need to drill the wings and bumper to install them..... ya just cant help thinkin... blimey Ive just brought a £9000 car and im just about to drill into it eeek!:eek:
 
it does make you wonder why they dont make panels for other cars out of plastic, there wouldnt be quite so many dents goin aroun now would there..;)
 
No, but I'm afraid in case of accident these things are much harder to repair than metal sheets, no ?? Is it plain plastic or a kind of resin ?
 
There would be an issue with safety, impact resistance...

But it would solve all the woes about rust.

polyurethane probably its very resistant to shock and most oem spec cars use it in modern bumpers ect
 
We've got Light Grills and dont experience any problems. Apart from the fact the lights weren't too good anyway.

Have recently replaced the original bulbs with Xenons of same output. Definatly a worthwile improvement.
