hi can anybody help me.as i was driving home tonight and my lights went out on me then i drove home with full beam to see where i was going i.e holding the flash on.when i got home i played with the switch am it was flikering the light on and off does anybody now if the main light switch is a problem on them is this a common fault on defenders please can anybody help thanks.
 
The contacts in the switch might need cleaning. It's a doddle to do just take everything of thats near the switch and clean the contacts with WD40 and a cloth.
 
thank you ill try this.do you now what leather seats fit in a defender exept landrover ones i mean out of a car thanks.

I have the same problem with my defender. The lights go out every now & then. A quick wiggle of the light switch usually does the trick. I really need to get it sorted though. If you find a good remedy for it, let me know ;)
