hi guys does anyone know where the firewall rubber is on discovery 2 and has anyone got any pictures of there light bar setups ??

Make sure you have a separate switch, as LED light bar come under additional or auxiliary lighting rules, so must be switched separately from other vehicle lights .

Not a D2, but I loved the extra light my LED bar gave me. It was separately switched, or could go on and off with the main beams.

You should not wire the work lights in to the reverse switch, you will blind everyone when you reverse.
work lights should be totally separate with a warning light on dash.

These lights are 18w not to bright so they should be fine had them on a terios years back and looked mint in dark and wasn't blinding

It has the wiring kit with it its 3,500w 52 inch :) come with 2 work lights which il wire into reverse switch

It won't be 3,500 Watts, at least not real Watts. There's absolutely no way you could power 3.5kW from a vehicle, at least not for more than a few seconds, besides the wiring would be so thick, you'd not be able to bend it.

It sounds like a "Chinese" 3,500 Watts to me, which will be 350 "Real" Watts. ;)

My front light bar is 3,500w not 350w you can't buy it in the UK

Are you sure it's not giving you the equivalent output compared to a 3.5kW incandescent lamp? ;)

Sorry but you can't power a 3,500W LED from a vehicle, as there simply isn't enough power available in the system. Besides the LED bar would get so hot it would melt, as 3.5kW is a huge amount of energy to dissipate.

Wire is that thick you can't bend it mate

It ain't 3.5kW. You would need 4 huge vehicle batteries to light the thing for more than a few minutes.

It'll be a standard Chinese 350W light bar, with over exaggerated light output and power claims. Trust me, I've tested loads of these things, and they don't come close to the power or light output claims. ;)

I thought all this myself but I have a might who sells led light bars and makes them and hes said its genuine when it's on in dark you can see easily 900ms

I'd love to take this amazing LED bar apart to see just what unobtainium materials it's using, because there isn't any way in the world that a vehicle LED bar is 3.5kW. 350W sure, there are even a few which have a genuine 500W rating, but seriously, 3,500W is absolutely impossible. A decent 350W LED bar will light up 1000M away. Hell my 140 Watt bar lights up 500M away.
Your mate is pulling your plonker. ;)

It’s not genuine, and your “might who sells them” is wrong. How are you switching it on and off? What electrical device triggers it? A relay?

Scottish accent...ah wud woork 500 miles an ah wud woork 500 more, so ah wud need a lighting bar that could see 900 miles fuh Shure"

I've just read the description its got a combined wattage of 3,500w with the work lights aswell so basically its kicking out 350w what sort of range you get on these as its curved ?
