Hi All,
I know this is a ongoing for years, however when I put my new chassis on my landy I'd like to know what the safest shackle I can use to lift my 88" is, I am happy to fit spacers on the axle/propshafts if needed and other small modifications, but I don't want to go mad (body chopping etc). I do however plan to parabolics on and it which if I know correctly add an inch, and it already has 7.50-r16 tyres fitted.

I was thinking of using 1-ton shackles, but would these be too much?
if so can I get away with going for 109" all around as an alternative?

you could have done a search………...but military shackles or make your own

No, because I am still getting used to this forum, and not figured it out yet, however, military shackles could be a good idea.

I though parabolics gave a 2" lift?

That's cause you have added prob over a ton of steel to the poor thing.

The R380 is lighter than the series box I'm gonna see about getting some new ones from rocky mountain I think as I'm about to put my rock sliders on it and they're for lack of a better word…….chunky

Personally I think that the combination of parabolics and 7.50 tyres gives the perfect amount of lift, improving proportions of the body length/height, giving a slightly more aggressive appearance. whilst reasonable good road handling.... too much lift and things start looking a bit too modded for my liking.

Aggressive? As in an OAP trying to wave his walking stick at ya. & promptly falling over ???

Thats what I have on mine I think that combination looks pretty good myself and it doesn't look like its been modded that much
