I could understand the hubs being different due to the way the steering must connect, all I could think is maybe the panhard rod might connect to the opposite side
The Panhard rod does connect opposite from LHD to RHD ... but my Disco 300Tdi axle casing has the panhard rod mount fitted to both sides! Unfortunately I'm using it on my 90.
Just been out to check .. and can't think of anything else different ..

cases are both lhd and rhd, to convert an axle you replace the single armed swivel housing for the double, td5 axles are like that so both lhd and rhd from factory
