I came across a Land Rover on test in it's disguise body rap. It was broken down, I was able to spend a little time talking to the driver (he was waiting for a software download to get going again). The vehicle was the replacement for the Defender or the new Defender whichever way you want to look at it. This one was diesel he did not know (or wasn't letting on engine size but said it had 300bhp and a previous one he was testing in Germany was 400bhp version. The driver did not work for JLR but a testing company Tecnica using Bosh equipment. A driverless version is on test currently along with all electric and hybrid.
Yes, but it was heavily disguised and they show no more than the current "spy" shots published in the press recently. Just thought I have one that is interesting I will dig it out later.
Yep, a nice proddy glass screen where chunky tactile fixable buttons should be.
Give it a few years in a hot dusty country on the school run and that'll be the end of that
Form over function yet again...
A couple of more pics a number of sensors at the front anyone have an idea there purpose?
Also the testing equipment, vehicle is auto with manual override.
Could be for them testing out an autonomous vehicle. I guess they use whatever is in test when they need to. Can't tell exactly where that is on the veh ... !
